| Livingston Associates, P.C. has
prepared wastewater treatment system design for a variety of applications.
Following are summaries of selected projects: |
|
Tertiary Wastewater
Treatment Plant
City of Alamogordo, New
Mexico |
The
City of Alamogordo produces approximately 3.5 million gallons of wastewater
effluent every day. To utilize this water resource for irrigation of the
City's golf course and green areas, Livingston Associates designed a reclaimed
water treatment system utilizing disc-filter membranes. This was the first
application for the disc-filter technology in the State of New Mexico.
Livingston Associates was the consultant for this USFilter-led design-build
project. |
 |
Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation
Cloudcroft, New Mexico |
Livingston
Associates performed a feasibility study to develop and select the most
cost-effective treatment plant improvements for Cloudcroft, New Mexico.
Rehabilitation of the 1950's vintage equipment proved the most cost effective
alternative, and is currently under final design. Bidding and construction
phase services will also be provided. |
 |
Bonita Park Wastewater Improvements
Alto, New Mexico |
| Performed a feasibility study and provided
recommendations for wastewater system improvements. An activated sludge
process was recommended to replace current septic tank systems and allow
future reuse water management. Final design is currently under development. |
 |
Septage Receiving Facilities
City of Alamogordo, New
Mexico |
| Conveyance, tankage, and odor control
(aeration) were designed for this municipal wastewater plant, with
an average flow of 3 MGD, which had limited septage handling capability. |
 |
Municipal Wastewater Facilities Evaluation
Capitan, New Mexico |
| The Village of Capitan, New Mexico 200,000
gallon per day facultative lagoon and constructed wetlands were evaluated
by Livingston Associates for treatment efficiency. The unit process performance
evaluation involved review of monitoring data, collection of additional
data, and comparison to specified design conditions. Recommendations were
made to improve process efficiency. |
