Livingston Associates P.C. has performed a number of planning studies for local and regional water planning. These typically include demand forecasting, supply evaluation and alternatives development for a 40-year planning horizon. Summaries of selected planning studies are presented below.


Tularosa Basin and Salt Basin 40-Year Regional Water Plan 2000-2040
City of Alamogordo, New Mexico
Livingston Associates in association with John Shomaker and Associates prepared the plan which includes historical and future water demand analysis, population projections, supply alternatives and water rights issues in the Tularosa and Salt Basins in Southern New Mexico. The Plan included municipal and agricultural water use, ground water and surface water supplies and more than 50 rural water systems and 1200 individual domestic well users.  Water quality and additional source alternatives were evaluated. 40-Year Water Plan 2000-2040
City of Alamogordo, New Mexico
Livingston Associates prepared a 40-year water plan for the City of Alamogordo. The plan uses the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission Planning Template and includes historical and future water demand analysis, population projections, supply alternatives and water rights issues. The Plan also includes conjunctive water uses, including aquifer storage and recovery, water banking and desalination of brackish groundwater.
